Mulgumpin / Moreton Island
Across Moreton Bay from Brisbane, Moreton Island is one of the largest sand islands in the world, and almost all of it is protected national park. It's an island of towering dunes, clear water and long, empty beaches.
Mulgumpin is the island's name for the Quandamooka people. From the air you'll see the Tangalooma Wrecks, the dunes and the lighthouse at the island's northern tip.
