A sunrise proposal offers a calm, private atmosphere and the symbolism of beginning a new chapter together. You may choose to propose before take-off, during the flight or after returning to a reception prepared by our ground crew.

Our Sunset Proposal is especially popular in Perth, where the west-facing coastline creates a striking backdrop as the sun descends towards the horizon. Sunset experiences are also available across selected Australian locations, with every route planned around the local landscape and operating conditions.

Turn the proposal into an entire day with a private flight to an island, wine region or another unforgettable destination.
Depending on your location, your experience might include time at Wadjemup / Rottnest Island, the Hunter Valley, Yarra Valley, Mulgumpin / Moreton Island, Kakadu National Park or Kangaroo Island. Your destination itinerary may incorporate dining, ground transport, accommodation or a private experience selected around your plans.

Every Proposals By Plane experience follows a carefully managed planning process. While the details will be unique to you, the journey generally comes together in three clear stages.

It all begins with a conversation.
Alexander, Commercial Pilot and UNSW graduate, will personally handle your consultation whenever available. If he is in the air, our ground team will be in touch shortly.
During your consultation, we will discuss:
Your relationship and proposal ideas
Your preferred city or destination
The atmosphere your partner would appreciate
Your preferred date or general timeframe
Whether you would like to propose before, during or after the flight
How you would like to protect the surprise
Photography, videography and other upgrade options
There is no pressure to arrive with a complete plan. Some people contact us with a detailed vision, while others only know that they want to create something extraordinary.
Our role is to listen, offer guidance and help turn your initial ideas into a proposal experience that feels personal to you both.

Once you have selected your preferred package, we begin shaping the finer details.
Every couple is different, so we do not place customers into the same proposal script. Your experience is planned around your relationship, your partner’s personality and the kind of moment you want to share.

You will receive the confirmed arrival instructions for your selected airport or aviation facility. After meeting the team and completing the required pre-flight process, it will be time to step aboard and begin the experience.

Some moments pass quickly, especially when nerves and excitement take over.
Professional aerial and ground photography and videography are available as package upgrades, allowing you to relive the journey from arrival through to the proposal and celebration.
Our specialist aviation videographer and photographer, Elliot Staddon, has flown alongside Alexander and understands how to document the experience safely and discreetly.
Elliot and Alexander coordinate inside and outside the aircraft to help the filming feel natural and protect the surprise.
Depending on your selected package, your finished collection may include:
An edited highlight film
Professionally edited photographs
Aerial footage from the flight
Ground footage from the airport or destination
A cinematic film combining each stage of the experience
Drone footage where permitted and operationally approved
Photography, videography and drone footage remain subject to package availability, local permissions and applicable aviation requirements.

Your Flight And Safety
Your proposal is designed to feel effortless, but every flight remains subject to professional aviation requirements.
Flights are provided by fully licensed, CASA-approved AOC holders. The operating pilot and aviation operator retain responsibility for the aircraft, route, weather assessment and all operational decisions.
Requested routes, landmarks and manoeuvres remain subject to:
Suitable weather conditions
Airspace availability
Aircraft availability
Operational requirements
Pilot and operator approval
Passenger and safety requirements
If conditions affect the planned flight, our team will discuss the available options in line with the applicable booking terms and operator requirements.
The safety of every passenger and crew member will always come first.
What Happens After The Proposal?
After landing, you will return to your waiting reception where included in your package.
This gives you time to celebrate together, take photographs and enjoy the first moments of your engagement without needing to rush to the next part of the day.
Where photography and videography have been selected, the footage will then be professionally edited into the agreed final deliverables.
You will leave with more than a ring and a photograph. You will have an entire journey and a story you can continue sharing for years to come.
